Kosovo President Hashim Thaci following withdrawing his initiative to create Kosovo Army through amending current law on Kosovo Security Force (KSF), claims his initiative lead to creation of the two new realities:
Return of Serbian MPs in Kosovo institutions; and full compliance with the U.S. and NATO members that Kosovo should have its army.
President Thaci says his initiative to transform the KSF into army by amending current law and not amend the Constitution, has created new momentum “which is determinant for a comprehensive process on creation of the Kosovo Army through constitutional amendments, that remains the best possible option,” Thaci wrote in his Facebook.
“Return of Srpska List in Kosovo institutions proves their readiness to become part of this process. On the other hand, strategic partners have pledged that they will offer their help on constitutional amendments in order for Kosovo to have its army.
“There is a full compliance with the U.S. and NATO members that Kosovo should have its army, and nobody can veto this process. This process should be concluded soon. The KSF transformation is irreversible,” said Thaci in Facebook. /GazetaExpress/
