Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister, Branimir Stojanovic, who represents Serbian List Sprska, talking at the conference on transformation of the KSF organised on Friday by the Research Institute of Development and European Affairs (RIDEA), said that one cannot expect Kosovo Serbs support establishment of the army.
Stojanovic said that establishment of Kosovo army is not the most important topic for the young people in Kosovo, mentioning non-liberalisation of visas as one of the priorities for citizens of the country.
“Even if the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) into army happens, this will not improve life of citizens. We need new jobs, rule of law,” he said. He also said that the EU-facilitated dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia in Belgrade gave positive effects. He also said that Serbian MPs returned to the Assembly of Kosovo after more than five months boycott, after cooperation with internationals.
